-Do not underestimate a tree. Throughout history, every tree has had its own story, its own field of use, and its own reputation. Some were offered as sacrifices to higher powers, while others themselves became sacred values to which offerings were made. Our forests give us breath, bring rain, and purify the air.

-Boats made especially from teak and cedar trees enabled humankind to travel across continents and led to the beginning of global trade. Because of this, the cedar tree is known as “the tree that changed the fate of world trade.” Cedar trees growing in the mountains of Lebanon were used in the construction of temples and became known in Europe thanks to travelers who came to the holy lands from distant regions. The original Christmas tree was also made from cedar.

-Bamboo trees, which grow in a very short time, have been used in the construction of shelters since the earliest times.
The olive tree, a symbol of peace and sovereignty, has also brought flavor and healing to life with its oil. In addition, olive wood is used to create epoxy tables of remarkable beauty.
The acacia tree, whose name is pronounced almost the same in nearly every language of the world, has often been associated with death in different geographies.

-With its hardness and durable texture, the ebony tree—so strong that it could only be cut after more than a century—left its mark on the darker pages of history when, after a war between the Persians and the Sudanese before Christ, it was demanded as war compensation in shiploads every two years.

Is it any different in our country?
Musical instruments made from mulberry wood, magnificent furniture crafted from walnut, and spoons and combs made from boxwood are still talked about today. And what about the reputation of chestnut, beech, and the centuries-old, massive plane trees that have long lived on our lands?

In short, a tree is a value, and throughout history it has always been valuable.
